People often come into the showroom knowing exactly which YETI they want, and then spend twenty minutes choosing the colour. We get it. With new shades arriving every season, picking one is half the fun.
To put this list together we looked at what's been selling, which colours customers ask us about, and which ones the team keep reaching for themselves. Almost every YETI colour also has a story behind it, usually a place, a landscape or the people who work in it, so we've included those too. Here are the colours we think are worth knowing about.
Which one would we pick?
Ask the crew which colour is best, and you'll start a debate that runs all the way to closing time. Some colours earn their keep out on the water, some live on the kitchen table, and some we bought simply because they made us smile. Here's what we actually use:
- Tris – King Crab Orange. "Vibrant and bright." His GoBox holds all his fishing tackle, and a 35 oz Straw Mug keeps him going at his desk.
- Kate – Sea View. The marbled take on Seafoam was her favourite drop. She swapped the lid on her 20 oz Tumbler for a straw lid, and it's now her go-to for iced coffee.
- Toby – Seafoam. "A great all-round colour." His Straw Bottle goes everywhere with him, most days of the week.
- Lucy – Navy. Her morning cup of tea comes in a wine tumbler (no judgement here), drunk before she heads down to the pontoon.
- Hannah – anything pink. Bimini Pink, Tropical Pink, Sandstone: she's got the lot. Her favourites are a French Press (the second hot pour is a game changer) in Tropical Pink and her Crossroads 35L backpack in Sandstone.
Still can't decide? Come and see them for yourself at the showroom, because almost everyone looks better in real life. Or browse our full YETI range online.
YETI Seafoam

Part of YETI's permanent core range, Seafoam is a soft blue-green, somewhere between the colour of the shallows on a sunny day and the inside of a wave just before it breaks. It's bright enough to feel cheerful, but it isn't loud, and it sits comfortably on a boat, on the beach or at the office.
It's no surprise this one does well here. On a summer morning the water off East Portlemouth turns almost exactly this shade. It's one of our most-asked-about colours and it looks noticeably better in person than on screen, with more depth than photos give it credit for. It's also one of those colours that suits just about everyone, which makes it an easy choice for presents.
Looks great on: the Rambler 18 oz Straw Bottle, the Loadout Bucket and the Daytrip Lunch Box. Pair it with White or Navy for a fresh, nautical look.
YETI King Crab Orange

The inspiration: the crab fishermen and women of the North Pacific, and the bright gear they rely on in some of the roughest water in the world. It began as a limited edition that sold out every time it came back, and in 2025 YETI made it a permanent core colour on the Loadout range.
This one means something round here. Salcombe has a long crabbing history, and the Stone family were making willow crab pots for local fishermen back in the 1800s. King Crab Orange is a working colour: easy to spot on a cluttered deck, and in person it's deeper and warmer than the traffic-cone orange it can look like online.
Looks great on: the Loadout GoBox and the Tundra 45. It's at its best next to Black, Charcoal or Rescue Red.
YETI Cape Taupe

The inspiration: the coast again, but the quieter side of it. Cape Taupe is a soft, sandy neutral with the look of sun-bleached dunes and weathered driftwood.
This is the colour for people who don't want a colour. It's warm rather than grey, it goes with everything, and it's the one we suggest when someone wants a mug for the office or the kitchen that won't clash with anything. It's such a classic, chic colour. Our best seller in this colourway is the Camino Carryall 20.
Looks great on: Rambler drinkware such as the 10 oz Tumbler and the Daytrip 20L cooler backpack. It sits nicely alongside Seafoam or Sandstone Pink if you like a softer palette.
YETI Beekeeper

The inspiration: sunshine, quite literally. Beekeeper is a warm, honey-tinged yellow from YETI's Gold Coast collection, inspired by the golden tones of summer on Queensland's coastline.
YETI fans will spot that it looks very similar to Alpine Yellow, a much-loved colour from a few years ago that became hard to find. That's part of why Beekeeper caught on so quickly. It's cheerful without being garish, and it's popular for children's bottles: easy to find in a school bag and hard to mix up with anyone else's.
Looks great on: the Rambler 35 oz Straw Mug and the 20 oz Tumbler. Try it with Navy for a classic yellow-and-blue combination.
YETI Black Forest Green

The inspiration: the dense, dark woodland of Germany's Black Forest.
If Beekeeper is the brightest colour on this list, Black Forest Green is the most understated. It's a deep, almost-black green that looks smart rather than outdoorsy, and it's a favourite with customers who want something a little different from black without going bold. It works especially well on bags and soft coolers, where the darker shade looks rugged and hides the wear.
Looks great on: the Hopper Flip 12 and the Rambler Food Jar. Pair it with Cape Taupe for an earthy, autumnal mix.

YETI Firefly Yellow

The inspiration: "nature's night lights", the fireflies that glow on summer evenings. Firefly is a bright, almost neon chartreuse, and it's one of the boldest colours YETI has ever made.
You won't lose a Firefly Yellow cool box. On a boat, a beach or a busy campsite it stands out a mile, which makes it a surprisingly practical choice. It's not for everyone, but the people who like it really like it, and it photographs brilliantly.
Looks great on: hard and soft coolers like the Hopper Flip 18 and the Tundra 45. Keep the rest of your kit dark, such as Black or Charcoal, and let the yellow do the work.
YETI Sandstone Pink

The inspiration: the warm, earthy tones of desert sandstone. It's a dusty, muted pink, closer to terracotta than candyfloss.
Sandstone is the pink for people who don't usually go for pink. It's soft and grown-up, and it looks lovely on bags and soft coolers. It's a limited-edition colour, so it won't hang around for long.
Looks great on: the Hopper M12 and the Hopper Flip 18. It pairs well with Cape Taupe or White.
YETI Royal Blue

The inspiration: unlike most YETI colours, Royal Blue doesn't come with a big origin story. It's simply a deep, saturated blue, brighter and punchier than anything else in YETI's blue range, with a bit of a game-day feel to it. It has now become one of YETI's core colours.
Sometimes that's all a colour needs. Royal Blue is one of the newest on this list, and it's caught on quickly with customers who like Navy but want something with more life in it. It's bold without being loud, and it looks particularly good on the smaller coolers.
Looks great on: the Roadie 8, the Rambler Yonder Shaker and Rambler drinkware like the Rambler 18 oz Straw Bottle. Try it with White for a crisp, sporty look.
YETI Classic Navy

The inspiration: this is YETI's take on a timeless dark blue. Classic Navy replaced the old Navy in YETI's permanent core range on soft coolers and bags, and the base colour is essentially the same, so if you already own Navy kit it'll sit happily alongside the new pieces.
Navy has always been a strong seller for us, and it's easy to see why in a place like Salcombe. It's the colour of sailing jackets, yacht club burgees and half the boats on the moorings. It's smart, it doesn't show the dirt, and it goes with almost every other colour on this list. If someone wants one YETI that will still look right in ten years, this is usually what we suggest.
Looks great on: pretty much everything, but especially the Camino Carryall, the Ranchero Backpack and the Daytrip Lunch Box and bag collection. Pair it with Seafoam, King Crab Orange or Rescue Red.
YETI Rescue Red

The inspiration: the lifeguards, ski patrollers and backcountry first responders who keep people safe outdoors. Rescue Red is YETI's tribute to them, and it's now one of its permanent core colours.
This one feels close to home. Between the lifeguards on our local beaches and the lifeboat crew who head out from Salcombe in all weathers, we see plenty of people in red who look after everyone else on the water. As a colour, it's bold and cheerful, and like King Crab Orange it's easy to spot on a busy beach or a cluttered deck.
Looks great on: the Roadie 48, the Loadout GoBox 15 and the Rambler Travel Bottle. Red and Classic Navy together are hard to beat.
