How quickly is it ready to cook on?
It can be ready to cook on in around 10 to 15 minutes, depending on how much charcoal you use and the airflow through your EGG. Build the charcoal in the firebox, light it properly, then let the temperature stabilise before adding food. For low-and-slow cooks, allow extra time to settle the vents.
Does it contain additives or chemicals?
No, this is 100% natural hardwood lump charcoal with no accelerants or chemicals. It is made from oak and hickory and is designed to burn cleanly, evenly and hot. How much charcoal is in the bag?
