Is the straw cap leakproof?

Yes, the Straw Cap is leakproof when it is fully closed, but it is not the best choice for carrying loose in a bag. The straw cap can be knocked open if a bag is shaken or jostled, so keep it upright or packed securely when travelling. If you need a more bag-friendly bottle setup, a Chug Cap or Commuter Cap may suit better.

Can I use this bottle for hot drinks or fizzy drinks?

No, not with the Straw Cap fitted. This bottle and cap combination is designed for cold drinks and should not be used with hot, carbonated or pulpy drinks, or for storing food or perishables. For coffee or tea, choose a YETI Rambler with a HotShot, StrongHold or travel mug-style lid instead.

Is it dishwasher safe?

Yes, the bottle is dishwasher safe, which makes it easy to clean after daily use. For best results, put lids on the top rack and place gaskets in the utensil basket so smaller parts do not get lost. You can also hand wash it if you are cleaning it quickly between days out.

Will it fit in a car cupholder?

It may be too large for many car cupholders, so it is best not to choose it mainly for cupholder use. At 7.6 cm wide and 25.8 cm high, it is more of a carry bottle than an in-car tumbler. If cupholder fit is important, one of the YETI Rambler Tumblers is likely to be the better option.
