There's no single answer - it depends on how well you pack it and the conditions you're working in. That said, a well-prepared Roadie 8 will comfortably hold ice for a full day and beyond. For best results, pre-chill the cooler with a sacrificial bag of ice before loading, use YETI Ice Sheets on the base, keep it out of direct sunlight, and resist the urge to open it every five minutes. Like all YETI coolers, the cold-holding performance is significantly better than your average high-street cool box.

For a regular clean, soap and warm water does the job. For a deeper clean after a particularly hard-working trip, fill the cooler with a mix of warm water and a cup of white vinegar. Let this sit for 15-20 minutes to loosen up any stubborn stains or smells. Give it a scrub, rinse it thoroughly, and air dry.
